What to Expect at Your Newborn Session with Anya Sifton

Thank you so much for considering me to capture these first beautiful memories! Your newborn session will be a relaxed, personalized experience focused entirely on your baby's safety, comfort, and beauty.

Here’s a guide to what you can expect when you arrive at my studio.

Preparing for Your Newborn Session

Before your session, I’ll send you a few tips to help your baby stay sleepy and relaxed. Feeding your baby right before the session and keeping them awake for a little while beforehand makes a big difference. Loose-fitting clothing, a full tummy, and a cozy atmosphere all help create beautiful, peaceful portraits

I also recommend bringing a few essentials:

  • Extra bottles if bottle-feeding

  • Pacifier (even if your baby rarely uses it)

  • Diapers, wipes, and an extra outfit

  • Sentimental items like a blanket or heirloom (optional)

  • Snacks and a book for yourself while you relax

You’re welcome to reach out to me at any time if you have questions before your session day.

What Happens During Your Newborn Session at my Frisco Portrait Studio

When you arrive at the studio, everything will be warm, quiet, and ready for you. I keep the environment calm to encourage deep sleep and peaceful posing. Your baby’s comfort and safety always come first.

During the session, I’ll gently guide your newborn into natural, beautiful poses. I work slowly and patiently, following your baby’s cues every step of the way. If extra feeding or soothing is needed, we take breaks as often as necessary.

You can sit back, relax, and enjoy watching your baby’s first portraits unfold.

Styling and Posing at the Studio

The studio is stocked with a beautiful collection of luxury wraps, knits, props, and accessories. Each session is styled carefully to match your personal taste and vision. Soft colors, cozy textures, and classic setups create timeless images you’ll treasure forever.

If you bring a sentimental item, I will incorporate it in a meaningful way. My goal is to create portraits that feel unique and special to your family.

After Your Newborn Session

Once your photography session is complete, I’ll carefully select the best images for editing. I specialize in professional, detailed retouching that enhances your baby’s natural beauty while preserving their tiny, perfect features. You’ll have the opportunity to view and select your final images and products.

I offer a beautiful range of heirloom-quality prints, albums, and wall art designed to last for generations. Every image is retouched by me personally with the utmost care and attention to detail. I am truly honored to be part of your family’s journey during this special time. If you’re in Frisco, or the greater DFW area, and ready to book your newborn session or have any questions at all, I would love to hear from you.

Let’s capture these beautiful early days together — I look forward to welcoming you and your little one to the studio! Contact me here to get started.
